About

This is a blog designed to facilitate discussion between undergraduate students on the Lancaster University, Department of English & Creative Writing, ENGL101: World Literature course. It will hopefully be interesting to a more general readership, too. Please feel free to comment on posts and to get involved in the discussion! The aim is to create a relaxed, engaging and constructive space in which to think critically about the issues involved in studying ‘world literature’.

This blog will host posts from students in my seminar group, as well as myself. With luck, it should flourish over the duration of the course. It is something of an experiment, though –  so please be patient!

Whilst it relies on the expertise of my colleagues in the Department, please do note that it is run independently of Lancaster University by Dr. Chris Witter, who takes full responsibility for its content.
